Lake Konigssee
Lake Konigssee is a natural, glacier-cut lake located within Berchtesgaden National Park in the German state of Bavaria. The storied Alps rise along the shoreline of Konigssee, up to a height of 8,900'. Lake Konigssee is considered the "cleanest lake in Germany". Only row and pedal boats are allowed on the pristine waters---along with several electric tourist boats. St Bartholoma, a famous pilgrimage church is located along the western shoreline. The photos were taken along the Alpine hiking trail at "Malerwinkel" or the "painter's viewpoint".
